Domestic Adoption

Mi Yungs Prayer provides comprehensive domestic adoption services for Colorado families.

Types of Domestic Adoption

Domestic Infant Adoption is the placement of an infant born in the United States by birth parent(s) who have legally consented to the adoption with an adoptive family of their choosing.

Domestic Designated Adoption occurs when adoptive parents have already been chosen by birth parents making an adoption plan prior to either party's involvement with an adoption agency. This includes domestic relative adoptions.

Colorado Requirements

Prospective adoptive parents must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Physically and emotionally healthy
  • No criminal history preventing child placement per federal/state regulations
